The Snow Queen – the story about young girl’s love for her brother and how this love helped her to save him.
In a small northern city an old woman lives with her two grandchildren – Gerda and Kay. They are very poor, but they love each other very much, and their home is warm and sweet. One night a neighbor tells the children a story about the Snow Queen and how she kidnaps little boys and makes them her ice servants. “She turns the boy’s heart into a piece of ice, so he won’t be able to love and care for others”, says the neighbor. Soon, Kay is taken by the Snow Queen and disappears into the night. Gerda decides to find and save him. On her way to the Snow Queen’s palace, she meets a young princess and her friend Karl, is seized by a gang of robbers, has to deal with a young, spoiled robber-girl, and uses the help of a talking reindeer. Of course, she saves Kay, but it isn’t an easy task.
