The Princess and the Pea – this story is about being creative when it’s needed.
In a very nice and beautiful kingdom there was once a king and a queen. They had a son – the love of their life. The time came when the king and a queen decided that it was about time for their son to take the throne. But… there was a problem – the prince, to be able to become a king, needed to marry first. And his bride had to be a “real princess”. That was what was written in their Big Royal Book of Laws which was passed on in the kingdom from generation to generation. The laws written in this Book could never be broken, or the kingdom would be doomed to misery and wars. And for a princess to prove that she was a “real princess”, she had to pass the secret royal test, which, too, was described in great detail in the Book. The test was quite complicated, and the king and a queen had to figure out what to do that would allow their son to marry a princess he loved, and, at the same time, would follow the instructions written in the Book of Law. How did they solve this problem? They did it in a very creative and smart way.
